Kenny was ready to ask Shoshi to marry him. But he did not want to just ask the magic question by following the three basic steps of a proposal: to buy a ring, to kneel before the bride, to ask the question “would you marry me?” And wait for the desired “yes”. Finding the most original idea to do the magic question can be complicated even for the most romantic men. Kenny wanted it to be unforgettable and so exceed Shoshi’s expectations. The truth is that Kenny had one of the most original ideas that I have seen in a long time.
It all started on Thanksgiving weekend. Kenny and Shoshi met with friends to go to an escape room. The situation was perfect, everyone knew what was going to happen except Shoshi, who was the only one who was serious about the game trying to find locks, combinations of padlocks, hidden keys… She did not imagine that she would find a proposal ring instead of a key to escape the room.
That day marked a new step on his relationship, which already had a long history. They met while both worked in a summer camp, but did not start to date until three years later. Photographing him I realized the sincerity of their caresses and the smiles of pure complicity.
They came to Barcelona for pure randomness: just because they found cheap tickets to visit the city. But as they were planning their trip, they fell in love more and more of the colors and the character of the city. They came to the conclusion that it is a city that never ceases to amaze. They saw that the Catalan capital can be surprisingly romantic and so they decided to have a couple photo session with me.
We visited Barcelona’s both old and modern neighbourhoods, the alleys and parks of the city: Barceloneta beach, Gothic Quarter, Güell, Citadel and Labyrinth parks. And Barcelona has very little to envy to the elegant and romantic Paris.
Here you can see some of the photos in an eccentric and colorful city, the perfect location for the sweet couple moments of Shoshi and Kenny.
