More than a Wedding Photographer
I was born in Madrid during the summer of 1975 and, however it may sound a cliche, I have always been passionate about both still and motion pictures.
My love of cinema led me to study Audiovisual Communication, and I opted for television and video. I worked for more than 10 years as a videographer and photojournalist for television news such as La Sexta, Telecinco, Telemadrid and Localia, until I came to my great passion:
I am the father of two children who have stopped being babies too fast, and I am afraid they will become teenagers just as fast.
I prefer the mountain to the beach.
I like the color blue and discover new places.
I love the smell of wet soil after a storm and the smell of paper in the comic stores.
And above all, I love telling the stories of people in love.
I live in Madrid, but I usually travel all over Spain or to any exotic destination that you have chosen to celebrate your wedding.
WHAT DOES PHOTOGRAPHY MEAN TO ME?
If you ask an elderly man about his priciest possessions, I’m convinced that among them he would say all his pictures: his wedding’s album, the photos of his child’s first birthday, the pictures of his grandchildren’s birth… If he would get asked to choose, surely he would prefer to lose his jewelry rather than his memories.
Photography has a great value and also the power to move us to the past, as if it was a time machine. And it’s value grows as the years go by. Our fragile memory gets blurry little by little, details disappear until they turn into blurry images of our past. However, a picture can take us 10, 20 or 50 years back and make us remember who we were, how we felt in that special day or the faces of our beloved ones who are no longer with us.
That is why I’m passionate about photography.
MY PHILOSOPHY AS A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER.
It is based on the communication, trust and complicity with every couple. That is the only way I can get the images that actually reflect the greatness of your wedding day.
I have worked for 10 years as a photojournalist in television and I’ve transfered that fresh and direct style to my work as a wedding photographer. Although I don’t like labels, I could say my style is a balanced mix between documentary and artistic photography.
