¿NOS VEMOS EN LAS REDES?
I remember the day I met Lorena y Aidan: we were on the street and could not find where to take shelter from a rainstorm. I should have known that getting wet to the bone would be usual with this couple.
The meeting was like a mutual love at first sight, and few minutes later we were planning their prewedding in Ireland instead of talking about albums and rates. I do not remember who was more excited about the plan: me or them. Surely all three equally.
Eire is the sound of a sea of stone. The smell of saltpetre and damp earth. It is feeling the drops of a devilish rain bitting your skin. And then return to life with the taste of an irish stew and a paint of Smithwick’s next to the fireside. The harsh climate is compensated by an overwhelming landscape and it contrasts with the warmth of its people.
I have no words to describe what we experienced there.
Beaches with stone blocks instead of sand. Cliffs that make you lose your breath. Remains of a shipwreck in an apocalyptic landscape.
And also cooking lentils, lighting the fireplace and enjoying a fun and entertaining chat. I still smile when I remember the grimaces of Aidan (he is great comedic awaiting a talent scout to discover him) and Lorena calling him “Aidyyyyyyy …”
