Friendship is everything. Friendship is more than talent. It is more than the government. It is almost the equal of family.
When a couple is able to bring together people from Italy, Brazil, France, England, Greece (among others) for their wedding, it means that are truly special. Not only they have friends from all over the world, but because they did not care to travel thousands of kilometers to share with Sonsoles and Marco such a special day.
The decision to celebrate the wedding in Toledo, at the Cigarral de las Mercedes, was perfect: spectacular views of the city, beautiful facilities and exquisite cuisine. As in their “other wedding” in London, they prepared a party which was personally designed and cared for every detail (I must admit that I loved seeing a whole table decorated with framed photographs from the session we did in London).
Ceremony & Reception: Cigarral de las Mercedes | Bridal Gown: Maggie Sottero | Shoes: Christian Dior & Barker | Rings: Tiffany
Elena & Miguel make true the saying “third time lucky”.
They went twice to parties arranged by mutual friends, but they didn’t connect with each other until the third time. After that, everything ran smooth: they joined together thanks to the music, the cinema and the travels.
Elena seems to be always smiling. She is a funny and happy person that loves to joke.
At first sight Miguel seems to be shy, but once you get to know him, you can see that he’s got a great sense of humor and a big gentle heart.
They chose to celebrate their civil wedding at Golf Club La Dehesa. We had the opportunity to explore its indoor locations “thanks” to the rain: we enjoyed all the suggestive rooms instead of the
boring grass fields. I want to send a big “thank you” to all the staff of the Club as they did their best to make us feel confortable while working.
By just spending a few hours among Elena & Miguel families, I could see how strong is their love and their emotional ties. A detail that I loved: Elena & Miguel chose the same date for their wedding as Elena’s parents did.
Aren’t they sweet?
The year 2015 has been one of the busiest I’ve ever had as a wedding photographer so far, thanks to the 29 couples I have had the luck to work with.
It has been a season in wich I had the oportunity to travel, not only throughout Spain but also in Ireland, England and France. This is why I want to honor all the couples that have trusted in my vision to photograph their weddings.
For me all of them are “The Couple of the Year 2.015”, so the decision will be made by popular acclaim. The most voted couple will win the title and the prize: 1-2 nights in a charming hotel to choose from hundreds spread across Spain, France, Italy, Andorra and Portugal.
I think they all deserve a romantic break, don’t they?
These are the contest rules:
– The winning couple will be the one with more votes at 22:00 on Tuesday 19 January.
– The votes shall be made by a comment in this post. For a vote to be valid, the comment must have the following format: name of the couple + why you like that photo.
For example: “Finn & Rey – I love how the bride’s cat is eating her bouquet.”
– Comments that do not fit this format are invalid and will not be counted.
– You can only vote once per couple, but you can vote for all the couples that you wish.
Important note for the eager: Every comment is reviewed and approved before being published, so it can take up to several hours to appear on the page. You don’t need to submit the same comment 15 times 😉

I confess it: I love castles. It doesn’t matter if it’s an evocative ruin or it is restored in all it’s splendor. So when Laura & Juanfran told me that they would celebrate their wedding at the Castle of Batres, I almost jumped all around clapping my hands.
The wedding day was a reflection of the couple’s personality: vital, funny, full of details and familiar . A kind of wedding that is a pleasure to photograph because it’s full of moments.
It was quite a (fun) pleasure to be part of the great day of Laura and Juanfran, who also happily accepted all my proposals. So glad! 🙂
