Catholic Wedding in Valladolid {Carmen & Jorge}

I remember the first talk I had with Carmen: we had some drinks at Vip’s and she told me that she had photographed her sister’s wedding. After a while I realized that I was not just an amateur, but someone with a good photographic eye and a detail oriented person. Shortly after we were already planning their pre-wedding in Avila and their wedding in Valladolid.

Carmen and Jorge planned their wedding giving great importance to their history and their families: the jewels and arras inherited from their grandparents and the wicker basket for the alliances was made by hand as taught by her paternal grandfather.

The day began at the Meliá Recoletos Valladolid, where Carmen prepared herself surrounded by the closest family. The ceremony was in the majestic Church of San Pablo and the reception in the Restaurant A Ciencia Cierta, annexed to the Science Museum of Valladolid.

We were fortunate enough to have access to the Cavalry Academy for the couple’s session, a building full of history where I could have spent all day photographing.
